1. Launch Your Excel Spreadsheet
To begin, open your Excel spreadsheet. If you don't have one already open, create a new one by navigating to the "File" tab in the top left-hand corner, then selecting "New" from the drop-down menu. Choose from various templates or start with a blank workbook.
2. Identify the Row Below Your Target Position
Once your spreadsheet is open, locate the row below where you want to insert a new row. Scroll down or use the row headers on the left-hand side, labeled with numbers for easy identification.
3. Right-Click on the Row Header
Having identified the correct row, proceed to add a new one. Right-click on the row header (corresponding to the row number). A menu will appear with different options. Select "Insert" from this menu to add a new row.
4. Input Your Data
After inserting a new row, it's time to input your data. Click on the first cell in the new row and start typing. Press the "Enter" key on your keyboard when finished, and proceed to the next cell.
5. Repeat Until All Cells are Populated
Continue entering your data until all cells in the new row are filled. Upon completion, you can move on to other tasks or save your workbook by clicking on the "File" tab and selecting "Save" from the drop-down menu.
